The Lotus Centre is proud to be a member of Women’s Centres CONNECT, a provincial network of nine women’s centres across Nova Scotia. Through CONNECT, we are part of a collective effort to strengthen advocacy, amplify women’s voices, and provide meaningful support within our communities.

Women’s Centres CONNECT plays an important role in advancing gender equity, supporting local centres, and advocating for systemic change that improves the lives of women and gender-diverse people across the province. To learn more about their advocacy, initiatives, and the impact of this collaborative network, we invite you to visit the Women’s Centres CONNECT website.

The Lotus Centre, its staff, and board of directors recognize that we are in Mi’kma'ki, the unceeded land of the Mi’kmaq people.  It is covered by the treaties of peace of friendship signed in 1726.  The ongoing recognition and education about colonialism and systematic racism that is faced by indigenous peoples is the first step to creating change.  In what ways will you continue to stand up for this lands indigenous sisters and brothers?
